I have decided to sell my almost never used FM3A + 45P kit and put the proceeds toward an M6, Elmar 50 kit. However, I have never bought or sold on The Bay and thus have no transaction history, thus no credibility. I get into NYC every couple of months and I've heard that there are a few dealers who will sell quality gear on consignment for a reasonable commission. I understand that Rich Pinto at Photo Village will sell on consignment for 15%. has anyone here had any experience with Rich in this regard? Any other thoughts? BTW, I checked with KEH and was offered $575 for the kit but I thought i might do better. John Henry

you can always try Ebay and just be honest and helpful in your ad. since some people might not bid due to your lack of transactions, be sure to put a reserve at an amount you think you can get. the worse that can happen is that it doesn't sell. set up a paypal account as a seller. most buyers know that paypal will help them solve a problem transaction. explain you're selling to buy a Leica; other camera buffs can probably relate to you. offer a 7 day money back guarantee. if the price is right, someone will bid.

by the way, i'll never part with my fm2n. such a solid camera.

also, i think nikonians.org has a classifieds section.

good luck,
chris
