Amedeo adapter obtained, now which lenses?

Long story short, got somewhat tipsy and now find myself with an Amedeo adapter on the way for me.
Since I'm not to familiar with the lens lineup with the Contax RF series, is there any suggestions on what to keep an eye out for? Currently have the Helios 103 and J-8, but seeing what else is out there (too possibly have a G.A.S attack at) is always nice?

Go for the Sonnar 50mm f 1.5 if you are a low light shooter.
This includes several versions.

The West German post war Optons (or the later one just labelled Carl Zeiss) or the pre war uncoated Jenas or the later post war Jena 1.5 Sonnar, plus the FSU Jupiter 3.

Love the Sonnar 50/1.5. I had a terrific Opton for a while. Recommended.

A sleeper -- Triotar 85/4. Look for the postwar West German (Opton) version. Also the 135/4 Sonnar.

If you want something in the 85mm line, Jupiter-9 is a nice copy of pre-war Sonnar 85 f2. Mine is prone to flare into the light, but makes a nice image.

I would start with the daddy of all fast 50s, the best lens in the world for many years, as mentioned above, the CZJ 50/1.5

These are cheap in contax mount.

What body are you shooting?

The adapter adds some weight though. I have one too.
Consider also the J-3 version of the Sonnar 5cm/1.5 in Contax mount. They are less costly than those in ltm. The prices of J-3 have been going up a lot in recent years, and you may be able to find a Zeiss 5cm/1.5 for a similar cost. For a while, Stephen had Nikkor RF lenses for quite cheap, and you can use with them such an adapter to save money on the CV lenses. I got a CV 21/4 in Nikon mount, and I can use it on my M 4/3 camera with the Amedeo adapter (not on the M8 or M9, though).

Assuming you are adapting Contax-mount lenses to a Leica-M, then I would recommend the CZJ 50/1.5 and the W-Nikkor 35mm 2.5. Those have worked well for me on an M3.

I found myself owning an 85mm Triotar and 135mm Sonnar for very little money. I haven't shot a lot with the Triotar and none with the Sonnar yet, but early photos show the Triotar to be quite a nice lens. Along with the 50mm f/1.5 and a Jupiter 12, it's a nice kit and all have 40.5mm filter threads as a bonus.

I have a Contax I, IIIa (that is capping at higher speeds), and an Amedeo adapter, so plenty of options.

You probably know, but a number of Nikon RF lenses are made for Contax mount, which is slightly different, and these have a "C" on the barrel.

The Nikon 85/2; 105/2.5 and 135/3.5 are all excellent.
