What if the next digital rangefinder from Leica used an electronic shutter instead of a mechanical one?

Flash sync speed would be higher. The camera would be completely silent. Smaller. Lighter. Are there any disadvantages to this idea? Would this allow the use of a full frame sensor?

Whether or not it will enable using a FF sensor or not, I like Marco's idea. The only problem I see, however, is that the camera uses interchangeable lenses; since the sensor will be open to the elements whenever the lens is removed there will need to be a closeable aperture of sorts, possibly one like the Mamiya 7?
