An interesting ovf patent from Sigma --> dp family

Looks like it is designed for the dp family. It houses an electronic overlay for info such as f stop and shutter.. The article says not for present dp cameras including Quattro, but I thought all smart flash connections now send info back and forth about shutter and f stop?

Hope it does not end up too big.

I always wondered why something like this hadn't been brought out yet, seems like it could be really neat, especially if it includes some focus point confirmation.

Yeah focus point would be great. I think technology in terms of size and power requirements probably were the constraint factors. But also just like those yellow sticky notes, it is as much a aha moment.
