While I still love film, I have no reason to use analog sound recordings. All the live recordings I do is directly into the pc and the music I listen to is cd since years. I have everything needed to listen to LP's including the stylusses for 78rpm but the only times those get used is to transfer it to digital.

Vinyl takes a lot of money to get it to sound better than current digital playback, but when you get it there it is a wonderful treat.

If current artists I like go to the hassle of putting something out on vinyl, and I'm going to purchase it, I buy the vinyl. Most recent acquisitions would include Brian Eno's LUX (awesome!) and Boards of Canada's upcoming release in just 2 short weeks.
