I called this one "The Great American Diet". Stacks of pizza and rows of soda ready to head out and clog our arteries. I noticed this as I was picking up my kid's order.

So, you go to a pizza restaurant and are shocked to see...stacks of pizza boxes? Give me a break. That's not the "Great american diet", its the interior of a Pizza Hut. jeez.

Domino's here in Quito, delivers via motorcycle and it is guaranteed delivery in 30 minutes or it is free. Hands down Domino's is better than the Hut.

Nice photo

Same in my own native country, Guatemala, where you also get McDonalds and Burger King delivered.

I kinda like the stack of pizza boxes. They have an effect on the viewer.

Hey !! Here in Italy we eat tons of pizzas, and we are not so fat... :)
- I don't know Domino's Pizza or Pizza Hut, but a GOOD pizza never killed anybody -

("pizza, mafia, mandolino"... Arghhhh !! Please, don't say this! :D)

Ciao

Actually I shot that pic for a gallery I am doing on repeating patterns. I just thought it would get a laugh. Sorry if I offended anyone.

Australia is one of the cheapest places in the world for pizza ... that is if your a Dominos, Pizza Hut or Eagleboys fan ... which I'm not. We are right up behind the yanks when it comes to obesity in this country ... and the lean fit bronzed Aussie is a rarity! :(

Junk food has a lot to answer for and so does the lifestyle that makes it so attractive to people!

haha....the poor guy finally gets an M8 and his first picture he posts gets ripped mercilessly.

At least you have an M8, etrigan63, I only have one questionably functioning Zorki 4k for my intro to Leica land.....now if I could only get an elmar for what a Jupiter costs.....

Anyway, Pizza Slut is far less to blame than those syrups of death you portrayed under the boxes. Sugar is probably our greatest downfall in this country. I defy you to find many "common" American foods on our shelves that don't have sugar in there somewhere.

It would wouldn't be so bad if it they actually used real sugar in in the soft drinks but it is actually high fructose corn sweetener.

it's ot that much about what you are eating/drinking, imo
it's first of all about the quantities.
Why the heck would one get a "free refill" on a one liter soda "cup" (a bucket in fact)??? just because it's free???

Compared to other fast foods, pizza can be a relatively healthy option.

It's also something that can be made at home in the time it takes to ring ... order and wait for a delivery from one of the chains. A healthier alternative still! :)

If I order a medium college T-shirt from the US, its the same size of an XL T-shirt over here. Why is that?

Because kids in the U.S. like to wear their clothes loose thanks to the Hip-Hop movement. What are you really trying to say.... Americans are fat? Well the truth is. ....we are. It's a fat fat nation. There is food everywhere and it's cheeeap. It's truly unbelievable just how fat people have become. Portions in restaurants are large enough for two and sometimes three. My wife and I usually split a meal when we go out but a lot of the waiters look at you like your just to cheap to order two dinners. It's not the food we eat . It's the size of the portions that are served, they're huge. People just can't eat like that and expect to stay thin. The good thing is , I think finally there's beginning to at least be an awareness of the problem.

How slow is the delivery in Australia?! Don't Aussies like pizza dough made with yeast and allowed to rise a bit?

I made mine on the computer last night.
Three clicks on the Domino.com web site. 25 minutes later the guy's at the door.
We actually eat very little pizza, but I worked all day yesterday and will again today, so I had little time to make a proper meal.
