another bag thread! haters keep out...

I have and have bought two. I only use one, the A&A ACAM 1100 (the Evans Walker). It is light and small and is worth taking even if it is only for one extra lens and the light meter and blower brush and a couple of rolls of film. It can fit two Ms and three lenses easily. The strap is broad and with a long grippy soft pad. It is comfortable over one shoulder or across the body. It fits neatly in the small of my back for more serious walking. The other one is a bigger Lowepro bag accessible from the zippered top flap and which opens out completely when zipping open the whole front face. My Super 8 and SLR and some lenses are in that. Gets little use.

I don't have one, but the configuration is with a slot divider across the inside of the back, to make a place to keep papers, and an iPad would fit, I think, but with no meaningful protection, if that matters.

I like the leather bottom and sides (not the back, though) which is good padding. It's expensive, but has a lifetime guarantee, and it really is tough. The canvas is very heavy, too.

One of the things I do like about it is that it doesn't look like a camera bag. I also have a couple of messenger bags, and I'd like them a lot more if they had more than a third of the pockets of the Duluth bag.
 
Domke f-803 has a sleeve in the back that I put my iPad in. M7, CLE, 28,35, 50 lenses, some film, and small digital like Ricoh GRD IV fit well. Some small pockets for small misc stuff.

Have others, but this bag gets the most use these days.
 
For the "all in" long travel, I have a LoewePro backpack where all the SLR stuff with accessories fits. Additionally I own a medium sized old Minolta camera bag for RF transport.
But my daily bag is a messenger Tenba midsize holding a 15" notebook + 2 RF bodies + several lenses and additional peanuts. Makes count of 3.
Next will be an additional smaller messenger Tenba without the notebook compartment.

Yes I am a addictive bag buyer as well Tamarac/Domke/BBB.

I like the BBB from Steve Shaub. I have two of them. He put some padding in the latest, which should make it pretty spot on. They are very rugged.

However, the only problem with the unstructured bags is that when they collapse the the equipment clanks together.

But-as someone mentioned in an earlier thread, I am getting tired of cordera bags and may switch to a canvas bag and leather bag.

Like I mentioned above, we could have worse problems.
 
Got a Courierware Incognito XS in the mail yesterday. I made one mistake (got metal buckles along with the velcro - it's small enough that the metal could bang a body/lens when pulling it out if you're walking around - I'll be cutting them off). Great bag, seems just right for two bodies w/lenses mounted, film and an iPad if desired. Or one body and multiple lenses.

My Bronica SQ-A fit by itself - enough room on the end for either film or another lens if desired.

Probably going to get something larger when my Pentax 645N arrives - the Timbuk2 Snoop is messenger-style with straps to hold a tripod on the bottom. That's tempting.
 
So what bag do I need for an RD-1 and three lenses?

I have a small Lowepro which holds a rangefinder, lens and cell phone, a few messenger bags that will fit a small laptop, and some medium bags left over from the old days.

I have more camera bags than pairs of shoes....
 
I use the retro 10 for my travel. It fits my m9 and 4 lenses (1 attached to body), sd cards, extra batt, and Ipad. For my dailies I use the LV Andrei which looks like a lunch box. Due to no padding I usually just bring the body with lens attached and an extra lens and I use my wallet as a 'divider'. It also fits an Ipad at the back pocket and has a hook for my keys.
 
i have a hadley small and a domke f6. i take the f6 everyday to work with a x100 and maybe a folder, a vivitar ultra wide and slim or a bessa-l with 15/4.5, camera wise. i have the front pocked loaded with batteries, film, microfiber cloth, paper tissue, sanitising gel, chewing gum and some printed photos if i bump into someone i took a photo of.

i like the (over) empty space because i can also fit an umbrella, a water bottle or a rolled up light cardigan into the bag.. sometimes i end up going someplace else after work like the japanese neighbourhood, and with the empty space i can tetris some groceries in, and it's pretty amazing what one can fit in the f6!

i've been taking the hadley small out when i go shooting with a camera and 1 or 2 extra lenses, or just the x100 with some spare space (in summer, because during winter i'll just have the x100 into a jacket pocket).

ive been considering getting a hadley pro or large, i really like the slimmer profile of the hadleys and itd be good to be able to have more than what i can fit on the small, also the quality is pretty amazing. i do like the grip on the domke strap though, makes one shoulder carrying much more positive - though i usually have it crossed around my chest anyway.

i still dont have a basic kit for each bag, so whenever im gonna take the hadley out i'll move everything relevant to it, then take out when im back.

Ain't it a beauty? Protects gear from rain, pooping dogs, nuclear fallout...and doesn't scream "camera case" to curious thieves.

In time, I sold the LF cameras, but kept the case. (No, that's not me in overalls on the label.)

Though its for tools it screams "Fishing gear" to me 😀
Ive got around 6 camerabags. Only one is a backpack and the rest are small to very small shoulderbags. I am gonna get me a Tamrac expedition backpack.
