Just saying hello... My Bessa R and 35/2.5 arrived today. Dead excited. Will be running a few films thru over the next couple of days. Can't wait to see how they come out...

Welcome Keeds ! - won´t be long now......then you'll be brainwashed like the rest of us 😉

Good thing the support group is pretty strong here....

Cheers,

Keeds, this is the chorus of the support group song:

Feel no shame
Shoot another frame
Buy, buy, buy
The limit's the sky

Yup, we'll help you settle in 😀

Hello and welcome to forum.
The Bessa R is brilliant camera and I hope you enjoy it has much as I did.

...However, stay away from the darkside that is M. Cut up your credit card now, ban yourself from PayPal and block eBay on your firewall. Or all will be lost...

Welcome to the Cosina Voigtlander club! But I must warn you that by taking the first step to get the Bessa R and Color Skopar, there is a natural tendency to get other Cv lens and upgrade to Bessa R2A or R3A! God forbid that you eye that Leica MP in your local camera store! 😛

Thanks for the welcome. I do like the feel of the camera and lens. Not intrusive but does make you think about what you're taking, and how you are taking it. Hopefully the pics will live up to the feel. I know what you're saying about GAS!!!! I'm already hankering for a 75/3.5 and I haven't even got my first film developed. The wife is going to kill me....... 🙂

Wait'll you see shots from the wider angles. I've got one from somewhat less than three feet with the 25/4 on my gallery. Called "Cactus Near Mexican Border." Put camera on foot and guessed the rest.

And, by the way, welcome to the forum. The R is a damn nice piece of work. I've got one, plus the L model.

Welcome to the forum !
Owning a R and L too my advice would be buy a 50mm first, when you feel it gets absolutely unavoidable to buy another lens ! 😉
Best,
Bertram
