Another Canonet QL17 question...

your battery is too high voltage -just set meter on 320 aa instead of 400- it shoud be ok... i use it that way when i use meter on canonet...

Ok this seems odd. I just checked my Luna Pro to my mkII and they jive, less than 1/3 of a stop difference. When I put my film speed on my QL17 to 320 I got results no where close to what they should be.... Under. When I put it on ISO 700 (2/3 above 400) They were almost right on (1/3 over which I will take).

Oddity?

It might be worth trying a 1.4v battery.

I think the error response from the meter to a 1.55v battery is non-linear, so may give the results you are seeing. There is lots of information about this on the net.

well that is strange if you had underexposure with 400 setting.
for example if on 400 setting your camera shows 1/250 and f/2.8
then on 200 setting it should give more light so 1/125 f2.8
and on 800 it would be 1/500 f/2.8 which mean less light.
so basically putting asa higher lead to more underexposure...
