I braved the cold drizzly morning and went to a local outdoor flea market and came home wet and cold with a Miranda Fv with 5cm f/1.9 lens, 135mm f/2.8 lens, and original instruction book for the camera all for $10

Everything is in excellent working condition with clean damage free glass..

Colyn,

Will this be a camera you use or ???
Sometimes I see camera gear at a great price but don't buy it just because I know I won't use it...
I bought a Minolta SRT 102 w/ 50mm 1.7 at a garage sale only because she wanted $5 for it...I gave it to my son and he used it a few times but for the most part it just sits on a shelf...
I know that I have several cameras and misc. lenses/gear that I'll never have time to get into or use properly...I need to get real with myself and figure out which ones need to go...
But I still love finding stuff just like you did...

I will be giving the camera to a friends daughter who needs a manual film camera for a photography class she will be going to in Jan.

She's been looking for one since she only has a p&s digital camera..

I want to go to flea markets with you! I never find anything worthwhile. It's all junk. I have better junk than I can find at flea markets and garage sales.

Geez, I don't know -- better that she gets the SRT 102 nikon_sam got for his son! That Miranda (I'm not very familiar with the early models) may have enough quirks to it that she'll get discouraged. On the other hand, I'll take it off your hands! I could even trade it for something more usable (like with a meter).

Actually the Mirandas were/are well built cameras and this model was made during the same era as the SRT so it's the same age. The SRT's as a result of age are suffering from de-cementing of the meter cell prisms and will give false readings..

With the good working Weston Master V meter I will be giving her she'll have a nice setup...

Next time you come to Fort Worth check out the Henderson St. flea market or the barn market. I also like to go to Traders Village in Grand Prairie which is one of the largest outdoor flea markets in the country.

She's starting off right. That was my first meter. Stupidly sold it ages ago. Replaced it last year. Great meter.

One of these years I'll have time for Ft. Worth.

I've owned and still have two other Master V's. The Westons including the Ranger 9 have long been my favorites.

So you braved the Texas cold? Sorry... I can't help but snicker. But then, you find things there...

I can't help but get green...

With the temperatures here, garage sales and outdoor markets are out until next summer. And when I go, they only have junk. I gave up on them. Glad some of them still deliver!
