Available light shooting = not an issue.
Just wondering which you would choose.
Thanks!

Neither!...after all the recent posts - I'd have to go for a Jupiter 8!! 😀Available light shooting = not an issue.

One guy here has about twenty of 'em! 😉Who uses a 50mm lens?
The Summicron is one of a very few lenses whose optical qualities cannot be faulted. Close range and far, its high contrast and resolution are consistent in ways that few lenses offer. You can't go wrong with one.
Unless you prefer a lens with personality. The pre-ASPH Summilux delivers personality in abundance. Soft corners wide open? Sure! Contrast suffers in the close focus range? You bet! Out of focus rendering gets a bit swirly and double-edged wide open? Absolutely! And yet, in spite of its faults, it delivers a subtle beauty that few other lenses can match. In B+W. In colour.
Your mileage may vary.
