Another newbie request: Help required to choose a RF

OH and by the way, speaking from personal experience here.

if you EVER, try and get out of the rangefinder world. its useless and futile because youll be back, and wanting more.

now im stuck deciding if i wanna piledrive myself even farther into debt with a Leica setup ( since my tab is now over $9000) or if i should pay off my debt first.

wretched RFs and their... beautiful lenses...

don't thank us too soon.. you and your wallet will probably regret it later 😀
Are you trying to scare me? 😉
My wallet (and most likely wifey) has been regretting so many times for buying those wonderful minolta glasses. But I hardly ever. Continue to march on...

I'd sell you my R2 if you're interested... It's a great camera all mechanical and it has an adapter that I'll include. It also has the side grip as well . I'd sell it for
$ 375.00 everything included. I've a picture of it hear from yesterday... sorry the lens stays with me. If you go to the "camera and coffee thread" you can see a picture of it there.

Sherm wish that was all black....
But it looks interesting to me.. Will send you an email later today....

Which is a right lens to buy with this one? I don't think 40 /1.4 will be a good option with this one. Is Voigtlander Classic Leica Thread Mount lens 35mm f2.5 a good choice?

Is it true that Summicron 50mm F2 is not compatible with this camera?

Thanks

sherm, you are going to make me cry. Any chance that you would keep that camera if maxxum doesn't buy it?

Blah, I don't need this kind of GAS right now, but that is exactly the camera I wanted. For a price I could afford once both my state and federal tax returns come.

I'll just go back to my corner now.

Doubt it, given the picture here: http://www.cameraquest.com/voigtBR2.htm

As for the CV 35/2.5, it's a razor - look at it crosseyed and you'll cut yourself... I was very fond of the one I had for my Kiev 5. I really doubt that there is a better value on the market these days. Some faster & some cheaper, but that one is a very good deal.
