Congrats! Pretty close to what I have...

- ZI - primarily for 35mm and 50mm

- Rd1s - CV 35/1.2 Nokton for 99% of the time - I just like this combo for all color images.

- Bessa T - for WA (15mm and 25mm) with ext. viewfinders, and my preferred body for my Nikon 105/2.5 (with ext varifocal type II viewfinder)

Have fun!

fear of one needing repair and being left with none.

i also like having 2 lenses at the ready.

And less lens changing means less sensor dust right. Think of all the money you can save on sensor cleaning gear by having the extra body. :p

Keith, your theory of economic living has just earned you a job on Wall St. I hear Bernie Madoff's apartment is available. :p

A reasonable fear...look at what just happened to Cam! Or Didier before her...

If I had two bodies I might just be tempted to send in one of them to Steve right away just to get pre-emptive service.

I was instructed in this technique by my ex wife who gained her 'black belt' in shopping not long before we went our separate ways ... when I could no longer keep up with her course parameters. :D

I bought a second RD1 for the "when one is in the shop" reason. In fact, I think I did it around the time my first RD1 was at Steve's and it was still unknown whether he could fix it (mine was the first RD1 he had seen). Conveniently, Epson had the refurbs for $1400 at the time so I got one of those.

But I always like to have two bodies anyway, whether as a backup or for quick access to two lenses, and since the RD1 is my RF of choice now, two of those makes sense.

derrick, i got one from popflash in very nice shape and the second from another photo site. the second one should be shipped on the weekend but it's coming from oslo so it might be awhile, mostly depending on customs.

jonas, i have always liked having the same body as a back up, just makes sense to make life easier.

damn! you couldn't have had it make a wee stop in Paris so i could check it out for you -- say, for a few weeks, hmmmm?

(can't blame a girl for trying)
