A while back, Keith posted a pocketable exposure chart in the form of two printable jpegs:
http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?p=463235#poststop
The data in the charts were taken from Fred Parker's excellent discussion, at:
http://www.fredparker.com/ultexp1.htm
Well, I often use a meterless rangefinder and find a pocket exposure chart to be really useful. But I decided I could re-arrange Fred's data into a form that I can use more quickly and easily. For example, I'd prefer a table with both the description of the lighting situation and suggested exposure settings, side by side. And I'd like one table per film speed, so that entries for ISO 800 don't distract me when I'm shooting ISO 100 film. And finally, I'd like my table on a 3x5 index card.
So, here is a set of exposure tables, suitable for printing and laminating to 3x5 index cards. Use them if you find them to be helpful. You'll need Acrobat Reader or the like to view and print them.
Nothing profound here; just a rearrangment of the numbers that I like. And thanks to Keith and to Fred Parker!

When I read it, I found something which puzzles me. How come full moon over snow is so much darker than full moon over everything else? EV 14 vs. EV -2.
Here we had a very sunny and cloudless day today, I shot with ISO200 at 1/250 f8. In my experience those charts are made for places where the sun is at least one stop brighter, maybe closer to the equator where the sun is higher than here in germany.
Edit:
Oops, nearly forgot, thanks for the good work.

I think the EV 14 is for the photo of the full moon itself and the EV -2 is for subjects on snow lit by the full moon.
Thanks JRG.

Welcome JRG! This has to be one of the most useful first RFF posts ever.
I'm printing the charts now; I think I'll try to figure out how to laminate them back-to-back. Thank you!

That makes sense.
Tried to shoot the eclipse, but 300mm where too short, even on a cropped dSLR, but I was at some 10 minutes.

The best camera is one that still works!
These are very good and like you say if you're heading off with a specific film speed it really simplifies your data to only what you need.
Very very useful and thanks for your efforts from me and all others on this forum.
