A fair analysis. Nothing new, but no glaring ommissions either. The bottom line is it is a quirky camera in which I can understand why some would hate. And he is spot on about the focus... meaning if something is brighter and contrastier in the background, the camera gets fooled often (even if the corrected AF frame seems to not get fooled). This will happen with windows / glass. It'll focus on the reflections instead of the object in the window you meant to focus on. None of my other AF cameras have this issue... only the two fujis. You are really pointing and praying with the OVF in those situations. I just go to EVF instead in those situations.

I don't know, I can usually get it to refocus to where I want it by releasing the shutter button and then pressing it half way down again. It seems to know that you want to focus elsewhere when you do this. As far as no other AF camera mis-focusing through a glass window, that's just silly. Any camera can be fooled by this situation.

My NEX-5 has the same problem with glass.
