I want to buy a Photo printer "prefer A4 size" For both Color and B&W" can someone suggest a printer base on experience.

I saw Epson R1900 in a shop where I live. and I was tempted by canon's offer in the US with their "instant Saving" and thought of pro 9500 mark ii.

However, I want to see if there is any professional Photo quality A4 printer. or should I go with Canon in case I needed a larger print?

Thanks a lot in advance.

I'd love to know this as well - I had an epson r1900 and didn't like it at all - too big, too expensive with ink, and too outright expensive. It would be nice to get the same print quality in an a4 printer as I don't actually have the need to go bigger at the moment.

It's good but takes some fiddling to get straight b&w rather than color tinted b&w. The print quality of that printer was very good, but I didn't like anything else about it. It was very expensive to run. I'd get the canon 9500 if I was to buy one again.

I bought a new-old R800. It produces fabulous prints, and with Lyson or any other professional 3rd party ink the costs are pretty low. Although I currently have a problem with leakage, the Lyson staff is VERY friendly and they really try to fix your problem. They guided me through the whole calibration work flow for example, although this is not really their business.

Both, the R800 and Lyson are worthy of a recommendation. Also, inkrepublic sell replacement ink for the R800 that is said to be superb also.
