Picked up 10 rolls. I am often asked to shoot evening affairs and I don't use flash.

It's a great film for mixed lightning, Akiva. If you can, overexpose a little.

One of my favorite films to use in my XA.

Okay, call me a showoff, but here's one of the more memorable times I've had with Fuji Press 800:
Jeslyn, Brooklyn, NY, 2003.
(Technical: Konica Hexar RF, M-Hexanon 28mm f/2/8, Fuji Press 800)
I'm rather hard-put to name another color film that handles such mixed-lighting conditions as well, although I'm now trying out Portra 800.

Set your ISO to 640 or 400 and have at it. As ferider points out, avoid under exposure.

I didn't record my exposures that night, but I believe I shot the film at box-speed for the sake of having more breathing room, exposure-wise. Fuji, once upon a time, did rate their film a tad optimistically (ISO 100=EI 80, and so on), but in recent years I think they cleaned up their act a good deal. A tad of overexposure can still be useful under some circumstances, however.

What should I expect if during bright days I use an ND-2 filter and expose at 800 ISO?

Akiva: I would hope your camera has shutter speeds at least upwards of 1/2000 sec.

Nope, its an M6 which is why I sometimes use the ND-2 filterAkiva: I would hope your camera has shutter speeds at least upwards of 1/2000 sec.

Well-known
I like this film quite a bit because it has fine grain for its speed and its inexpensive. It is nice that you can buy four packs of 24 exposure rolls of Superia 800 (the same emulsion as the Press 800) at Walmart for $11.00.

Will be nice and saturated. Under sunny 16, for instance, 1/1000, f8-f11. A little over exposure will reduce grain.
The film is made though for mixed lightning, streets with neon lights at dusk, indoor stuff like Barret has shown, etc.
Roland.
