Here is a 24x27 ex Leica Post now sporting a M2 rangefinder unit (24x36) and M3 black chromed top cover (credit to Jerzy for the top cover and base plate !) .

I once built what I called an M234:
M2, no self timer, lever rewind, with M3 viewfinder and M4 takeup spool.
I painted it black.
Will look to see if I have any photos of it, but from the outside it's just an M2; not much Franken.

I also have a M2 (button version) with a M3 0,91 viewfinder !I once built what I called an M234:

This below is a 1955 M3 turned into a single stroke by adding a M2 counter mechanism :
The formerly dead M3 prism was rebuilt and the camera painted by Enzo aka Patagonean 🌞

Wow, some interesting cameras here. Mine is only the mildest of Frankenleicas: I have a black chrome M6 with 0.85 viewfinder. I traded the original baseplate (and some cash) for a baseplate with the lock that can open and close the old brass Leitz film cassettes. I've got nine of 'em, and I roll my own film usually, so now I can use them with my M6 as well as my M3.

I have M4 with no Viewfinder can I use M9 viewfinder?
You have a dead M9 and want to take the viewfinder and install in an M4? I would ask DAG if this is possible.
