I bought this from KEH, it was labeled as Misc. brand and was $11 in EX condition. The last time I bought a misc brand M9 battery from KEH they mistakenly sent me an original Leica battery so I figured I'd roll the dice again.
This battery is listed at 1800 mAh and my other official batteries are 1860 mAh so I'm pretty sure this is a 3rd party battery, but no idea what brand it is. Has anyone seen these batteries and can tell me what brand they are?
The battery is charging now, I have 4 other spares so I won't use this one until I know for sure that it's a reliable brand.

It's possible that it came out of the same factory as the Leica branded units. For such a small market, I can't see many people tooling up to mould that case, so it seems unlikely that there are many competing manufacturers. It's conceivable that there is only one and these are just "late night" production from the same assembly line.

Hmm, I never really considered that. The lack of Cyrillic lettering on the Recycle side threw me off, my other batteries all have it.

I bought a couple of those "#Un-Brand" batteries for M8 but they died sooner than half way, compared to original leica stuff. I just threw them away.. I guess they are from the same production line, but ones that didn`t pass the quality and performance test. Why throw them out ? thinks the manufacturer, when there is always people that buy "Price before quality"...
