How about Canon 40mm STM?
How about Canon 40mm STM?
Hi.
I think you mentioned you had a Canon body. You could always try a Canon 40mm STM (or the 24MM EFS if you're using crop sensor). Both really good no-nonsense lenses. Always happy with the results. Easy to get.

I've had one for a number of years. As has been noted, once a hood is put on, the difference in size between it and the 50mm F1.8 is less pronounced.
But your post inspired me to finally get the OM to Sony E-mount adapter, 3 years after I got my A7SII. I hope you don't mind if I mix digital and analogue in your thread, but got the adapter yesterday, and took this one today with the 40mm (and I'm going to be using it lot more):

An OM 40mm f2 sold at the big auction place this morning for EUR 1,111.00. I hope you can find one soon - these have really appreciated.

The scamming part of the story is really sad. I would think that German police could have acted based on your information (unless the scammer used mule for a bank account). Of course, collecting and providing evidence remotely is not easy, but possible. Anyway, sometimes it is better to leave it behind and enjoy what’s ahead. And you have plenty to enjoy with your new started parenthood.
But back to 40mm choices - it seems that you have made one, but I can repeat what others have already mentioned - Hexanon 40mm in AR mount is really great and cheap, so is Canon 40mm 2.8 STM.
