Any love for the x30?

What made you stop liking the X30? The sensor size?

I never owned one, so to be clear... I liked the concept. But yeah, I preferred the APSC Fuji cameras. A 1" sensor is the minimum I care to use. I don't love those either. I photograph in all light and excessive digital noise generally looks a lot worse than excessive film grain IMO. The smaller the sensor, the worse the noise looks too.

Any more comments on the electronic finder? I was surprised Fuji eliminated the optical finder. I don't use the EVF on my X100 unless I really have to. I don't like it as much as the X100's Leica-like optical finder. Although its EVF seems to be 100% for framing accuracy, which is very good. I see a lot less width in my X20 finder than on on the LCD screen.

I was fine with the finder but I never tried the x10 or x20. Lag was not too bad.

Also the sensor is fine for printing up to 8x10. I also printed some panoramas with the built-in panorama mode larger than that with good results.

Love for Fuji X30
OK so it's an old camera and after ten years mine has finally died. Problem is that it's one of the most useful cameras I've ever owned and I've owned quite a few. Just on the off-chance that someone has one of these and knows how to fix them I thought I'd post on this ancient thread. In photogear terms it's like saying goodbye to a loved one...
