Any news of Roger

I did send Roger a note on Facebook and I did hear from him.

He said Frances is fighting breast cancer again after 17 years of remission. It has taken a lot of his time.

Maybe, if you’re on Facebook, send Roger a note wishing him best and a speedy recovery for Frances.

I have frequently seen quite innocuous comments removed from threads ... you may not be responsible but it does happen!

Yep, I have too John.

And, the delete button has been gone for sometime now. You may have one, users don't any longer.

Best, pkr

When he was asked to stop posting non-photography related topics here, he got mad, picked up his toys, and left in a huff. He's now over on Amateur Photographer spewing his anti-Brexit screed and generally being abrasive. He may at one time have been a good source of photography information, but his interests now lie in the political realm, and he can't control himself. Better there than here.

Well, I don't much care for politics but I do miss Roger's posts and comments on other subjects. Here's hoping Frances' condition will improve and Roger returns very soon.

I wish nothing but the best for Roger and Frances. He has a talent for sharing interesting photographic information, albeit in in a brusk and arrogant manner. Which is why I've had him on ignore for a long time...

I like Roger, I have his and Frances book, they are well. This is the facts.
The rest is more like speculations, which I prefer not to be involved.

I had no idea she's been unwell recently Bill, so thanks for letting us know. Roger himself has had some serious health problems over the last twelve months needing a couple of fairly major procedures and consequent stays in hospital. Sounds like it has been a tough year for them both.
Thanks again
Brett

Generally ...forums..in the name of peace...get rid of all the burrs...or the burrs..leave in a huff on their own..
And thru time...all has been said and the info gets watered down, redundant, and boring...and well..the forum aint what it used to be in the end...and this goes for any forum..
imo...best to take the good with the bad..have a few flame wars once in awhile..for the sake of creativity and life..instead of just milk toast...all day long..and negative peace..instead of positive conflict..and then eventual resolution... and harmony..

I met Roger and Frances a few times in Arles and they have always been very friendly.
Love the hand painted photos by Frances. Now time to wish her all the best
robert
