Any RFF'ers using Pentax K-5?

Yes, it is my first ever 'serious' digital camera. The kit lenses are ok (and water resistant) but have mostly used it for work with a Pentax 28mm f2,8 manual focus when it seems tiny. In one of our venues the official photogapher had some huge Nikon D3 somethings and commented about how little light there was, but the 1600asa shots from the K5 seemed ok - as did his pics too of course, but the Pentax was small enough that it was out of my way when working at my actual job (I'm only 'another guy with a camera' these days).

I've also carried it in the hand without protection, using the kit lens, for some 2 1/2 hours in torrential rain with no apparent ill effects. Got some unique pictures on that afternoon as no-one else had their camera out.

The K5 (and many other dslr's now I suppose) have reached the 'good enough' level for design and results. It remains much easier to use an M, and film is more fun to work with for most occasions, but faceshots of 200 people at a work event are more practical digitally these days 🙁
