I called Amazon today. They expect to get a shipment next week and said I would probably have mine by august 5. Sounded like they would only be filling less than half of their orders in this first batch and that it would probably be another week for the rest of the queue.

I have orders with both Adorama and B&H (just ordered last night)... since Adorama seems to take its sweet time filling orders (they didn't touch my order yesterday), I usually end up cancelling with them.
I ordered with Adorama on day one of availability. Ordered with B&H last night. B&H shipped this morning (delivery tomorrow). Adorama is still sitting on them. Order with Adorama cancelled.

From what I've seen, looks a winner.
It should be fine for me... all it needs to be is good enough and small. I don;t think it'll have an issue.

Love it. It is so small and light. Focuses fast enough..but the 18-55 is still the focus speed king. Noisier then the zoom, but not as noisy a the 35f1.4. To set program mode keep moving aperture dial past f16.
