Anybody use C/V lenses on a Kiev?

I was wondering if anyone uses any C/V lenses on their Kiev and how they work. I was especially wondering about the Heliar 15/4.5 or 21 Skopar?
 
It won't work.
CV did make a few lenses in Nikon S/C mount and although similar, they might even mount, the register distance is different.

What mount are your lenses in?
 
I don't have any C/V lenses (nor a Kiev for that matter) but I was just wondering if it were possible for those Nikon/Contax C/V lenses because I could possible get a Kiev in a trade. Cameraquest seems to indicate that it would work for the two lenses mentioned above. I was just wondering if any one has done it yet.

From what I gather, the lenses wider than about 35mm or so should work ok because the deeper depth of field makes up for the slight change in register distance, but you may get some focusing errors close up and wide open. This may not be correct, so someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Since you're asking about wide lenses, it should not be an issue (based on what I have heard anyway).

Sorry, you are right. I didn't pay attention to the lenses you mentioned.

As Rob said, with wide lenses the slight difference does not matter. Depth of field takes care of that. Someone here at RFF has done this with no problems. (I can't remember who it was.)
 
It's not just a slight difference in flange distance, but also a slight difference in how much the helix moves for a given change in focus distance... all because of a difference in the "standard" focal length.

I have used my Jupiter-12 on both the Kiev 4 for which it was intended, and also on the Nikon S3, where it focuses fine as well. (But needs minor filing to prevent scratching the Nikon's front plate). I have not tried it, but I think it's safe to assume my 28 Skopar SC will work as well on the Kiev as on the Nikon for which I got it.

Not really relevant with the linked adapter, though, because it has no moveable parts.

For collapsible lenses it might actually work, as long as find a way to fix the collapsible barrel at the correct distance. This, on the other hand, may not be easy. :)
 
I have bought the CV 28mm/f3.5 but had not the opportunity to use it and see the results, which Roland says will be outstanding.

As for the mounting and rotation, the lens fits with perfect smoothness, as if my kievs were new from the factory and the lens an old and well fitting one
