I was looking for some colored filters for black and white film and stumbled on Goja on amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Goja-Premium-...=UTF8&qid=1372262606&sr=8-3&keywords=67mm+red
$6.45 for a 67mm filter seems pretty impressive...
For that price, I'm thinking it might at least be a decent choice for some colors that don't get used much.
Unless somebody knows otherwise, I think I'll pick one up and do some testing with it.

Never heard of them. Filters are one of those things I tend to believe should be of the best possible quality one can reasonably afford. We spend all this money on a good lens; why slap a cheap filter over it?
But I don't know anything about Goja filters. Mybe they are perfectly acceptable.

+1 , perfectly sums it up.
But on the other hand the reviews seem to be good and for that price you don't risk anything when trying.

That's kind of my line of thought.
I just ordered a green one, since I don't think I've ever used that color in my other sizes. If I'm not too happy with it, I'll just hang on to it for that one time I happen to need a green...
On the other hand, I'll try it on my 50mm hassy lens, and if it looks ok there, I won't have any doubts about getting more of them.

Sounds like a plan. They're inexpensive, so the worst case scenario you're out a few bucks. On the other hand, you may end up with a good filter for little money. It's worth a shot (no pun intended)!

Just got the filter today. The build quality looks pretty nice, but I didn't get a chance to try it out yet. I'll post some sample pics when I do.
It's looks pretty nice for 6 bucks...

Probably Goja is meant to mimic Hoya.

I'll bet it's made of "optical glass"

In case anybody is watching, I did some test shots and it seems OK. I ordered the wrong size by accident, but I used in on my DSLR and it looks good.
Ordered 3 more 67mm filters to try. All three cost about the same as one Tiffen, or half of a Hoya or something...

I'm going to have to remember that!
I'll give my sexual filters a real try on my Hasselblad after I get them next week.
