I ran across their (http://lensloop.com/collections/frontpage/products/black-brass-lens-loop) products and wondered what the experience has been?

I think there are many straps with the concept of hanging by the tripod mount.
I actually use Custom SLR sling strap with heavier gear (aka D700 with big boy lenses) and I like it much better than normal neck strap. The camera stays on your side with grip at the most convenient height so fast shooting is possible. One downside to these style straps are that it stays on your side and is designed to slide so I can't use it for biking or when I can't have my right hand keep track of the camera's whereabouts.

Hi Bill,
This is Vadim. I make Lens Loop camera slings. One of your forum members wrote up a very positive review of the Lens Loop a few months ago.

also, check out the reviews page (http://www.lensloop.com) for what others thought.
Let me know if you have any questions beyond that, I'd be glad to answer them.

Vadim is correct, I do very much like the Lens Loop. It is very comfortable to wear and well made. If you like sling style straps, as I do, I think you will like the Lens Loop. The best I have found.

Good prices, choices, materials! Thanks for introducing yourself, Vadim. I'll bookmark the website.
I have a similar sling, the (sadly lawsuit-handicapped) Luma Loop, bought from RFFer Rogier. Google Luma Labs for more info. Mine has a quick release for its tripod screw insert + a quick release for the strap. Also a very comfortable leather strap for your neck. I sling it over my shoulder, then put on a coat (now that I need one, i.e.), and the camera rides inside the open coat ready to go.
I also love the old Serenar tripod-screw wrist straps. I have 2. The screw-in rotates easily, and the strap leather appears indestructible after 50+ years. Best for cameras with the tripod screw at the end rather than in the middle.

That's interesting. I also love a similar product by Kood, a black nylon, tripod-screw wrist strap of which I have two. The screw is protected by a disc of soft material that prevents scratches to the bottom plate. From their look, I guess these Kood straps must have been made (in Japan) in the 70s. Simple but great product.
