i used to have the MG-1, but the lack of manual control and its dependent on battery left me cold.. so in the end i sold it and went for the QL17.. But then, i missed the aperture priority.. I still can't get the hang of shutter priority, knowing that my DOF will be determined by the camera and not me.. Yes, i know i can switch to manual and set the aperture from there, but that costs me time, doesn't it? I now only have that camera and the XA.. the XA being my take-everywhere camera and it offers the Av mode.. Coming from SLR cameras (which now i don't own one anymore) with fixed lens always mounted, i don't feel the fixed focal length actually limiting, but i do find that 0.8m min focusing distance somewhat limiting to me.. I also miss being able to focus as close as 0.28m.. so now, yeah, i've gone completely fixed lens.. but a dose of canon P, one 50mm lens and one UWA lens would be great, though..
cheers!
