HI guys

found this yesterday from my very early 50 rigid(very good condition glasses), they are close to the rear elements group, anyone have ideas about what is this? looks like some glue stain to me, will it be something like the lens separation? 🙁

Thanks guys

Can't tell you exactly what you have, but I had very good service from John@focalpointlens.com. He fixed three elements (two separations) on my Mamiya Press 75mm.

Give him a call at Phone: 303-665-6640.

Maybe those pics would mean something to him. Easy to reach and good to talk with when. His web site is:

I'll not get into price discussion, but weighed against my valuation of my lens, and the possibility of getting the same problem buying another lens, I went for it and I was happy since I then knew what I had.

In my case he cleaned three surfaces of whatever adhesive was on the original surfaces, and I believe he used a more contemporary adhesive putting it back together.

Thanks! I may email the pictures to him to see what is going on first! 😀
