Any updates? I'm waiting on someone to get his M3 appraised.
Black M6 TTLs are sprouting up everywhere. Chrome ones though are as rear as hens teeth. Tamarkin has a couple so I need to decide if I will do that.

He has good stuff but price is high, not the price I would like to pay, about 30-40% high than ebay. I was looking for a 90mm/2 Summicron pre-asph, a beatup one priced at $700, a mint in box for $1000. I finally got one form a private seller for $400 ( late E55 version).

You need to negotiate a little with Ken if the first price you get is not whatyou want. Also, keep in mind his stuff has passprt warranty. 1800.00 for a brand new m6ttl with passport isn't bad. considering ebay are around 1500.00 with no warranty.
Get an M3 Appraised??? Yeah, that's me. an official Camera Appraiser. Have him send it to me! Try EBay finished auctions, or have him look here in our For Sale column. Show him the one from Jdos2...
I did call Ken and had a very nice conversation with him. He has 2 Black
.72 TTLs, new as Jorge says. Asking price is $2,000. I believe he also has 4 other new TTLs, also black. I may have been his first call of the morning, but he was very helpful walking between rooms checking stock and respecting my budget by not tempting me with an MP. I gave him my name and phone number to call if he comes across my camera in his journeys.
Oh, I also called KB Camera and mentioned the RFF in our conversation. I have to say that every retailer that I have called has been very friendly and helpful. I have notes at work, but I don't think they currently have any TTLs in stock.

And, Jorge, you are right. For $1,800 I think I would have done it this morning. More than I would like to spend, but I am finding the range for a warrentied used camera from a shop is around $1,500. It think the Passport is worth $300.

remember, this guy is in new york, where paying retail is considered folly.
he expects you to low ball and start the negotiations.

Yes, luck, an M6 TTL chrome in hand. Putting a roll through it today.
Do not be upset, Rover, I paid way too much. Patience is not one of my strong suits.

Denis, that was a good deal you missed on photonet for $1200, M6 mint with org. packaging.
Rover,
I think the 2k m6 Ken has is the last edition ones with the special engraving. The regulars are 1800.00 But all with passport.

Well, I guess I'm not in that much of a hurry. Maybe I'll go for another lens, after all
But which one?
I've got more than I need - in fact, I don't really NEED any of my photo gear.... what I *want* is another thing....
Wish I could be more buddhist-like in this respect. You know, dispense with the wishes... and find true peace, not wanting anything.
It's just that all of this money is really burning a hole in my pocket right now

Well-known
Prices for just about anything named Leica seem to be all over the map. Browsing eBay, I sometimes wonder who is naive and who is shooting for the moon. Basically, it is probably true that eBay is largely a seller's market.
Then there are the Russian copies - Kiev, Zorki, et. al. You can always count on three things: 1) it has a lens, as opposed to seldom with other cameras 2) it is "rare", even if 1,700,000 of them were made 3) as with all cameras that someone has to sell, it is in "mint" condition - whatever that means.

dll927,
As the 35mm Classifieds forum builds up here, I will slowly abandon ebay. I did the same in the DSLR world once Fred Miranda's B&S forum became active.
We have a ways to go yet. Fred thought some things out, like posting rules and a method for seller feedback. The latter, especially, has made it a safe place to hang out. Jorge, please consider adding a seller feedback forum.

we had a discussion about seller feedback but i don't recall the details.
we are still small enough that feedback tends to happen but it's not in a collected place.
ultimately, yes, it's jorge's call.

I have a camera on hold. It will be sent to CT and I will get to meet it next week. By going this route I will get to Handle and try the little doll out before I buy. Should be nice, late production TTL in Mint- condition.
