Has anyone here ever used a Canon A35 Datelux? I believe that in the USA, minus one battery and the date imprinting feature, it was also sold as the Canon A35 F.

re this question you asked me in the isolette thread ..dont really know anything useful i am afraid.
about all i was going to say was exactly what you seem to have found out.
i havnt had any personel experiance with them and i dont seem to have any info on them except that it looked just like the Canon A35 F and was possibly a japenese sold product to what market i can only guess.
so if you needed parts or instructions then one of them may be an option. it looks to have been the last metal rangefinder produced by Canon. and it has what appears to be the same date system from the 1974 Datematic that possibly started with the Canodate E back in 1970
it may have AE exposure by the looks (or EE auto) and speeds up around 1/800 or 1/1000
thats just from what i have here no doubt there will be stuff on the net..maybe those other models will lead in the right direction

Oh, I have the stats. I found a manual too. I was just wondering how sharp the lens is and some of the subjective stuff. Yes, it is strictly autoexposure. There is no way to set shutter speed or aperture, so apparently the camera either picks both or has only one shutter speed or aperture. I can't find out which online.
