I've been playing it off & on for a couple of years, ascended thrice, died lord knows how many times.

I used to play nethack and adom. Great games. When I play nethack, I prefer the ascii interface
I don't play them much now, only from time to time. They're great games. All code with very little "fat". Highly complex. I got tired of dying and dying so much early in the game. Don't like Angband and its variants. I read all the spoilers for nethack and adom and kept dying, so I finally ended cheating the game to see more of it
Now I play Bzflag and OpenArena more than any other games.
