Hi all

I'm repairing a Pentax * lens that has various Delrin bushings of odd shapes inside, and I've come across a couple of cracked ones. Does anyone happen to know anyone who will precision machine delrin (or even brass/bronze) bushings to match them for a reasonable fee? I'm talking 4mm OD or so.

Best find any local bloke with a lathe to do this - you are going to have a lot better luck on a hobby machinist/engineering forum than a photo one.

I've used Larry Linville's services (as did a friend of mine here in Denver) to fabricate large format lens flanges out of brass. He made a perfect mounting flange for an old brass petzval lens for me, including threads and recessed holes for screwing the lens to the lensboard. He doesn't have a website or anything and is very old school from what I can tell, but he's a great guy and works out of his home from what I can gather. In any case, here's his info, and he may be able to help you in this...

If they're simple, I've got a lathe in my garage. I made brass bushings once to replace broken Delrin ones in a zoom lens that had been dropped. Nothing fancy though, the machine and I are both 62 years old and neither of us is computer controlled.
