I'm not putting this in the "for Sale" forum because I am not selling anything. However, lately there have been a couple of scanner threads here where people are asking about, and looking for, a quality film scanner.

On another forum I belong to, a member there is selling a Nikon LS9000. This is a pro forum, not a catch-all for nuts and wackos like DPReview. It is a close community and the members there would not offer junk to other members.

Anyway, the guy is asking $1200 for the Nikon. It was purchased for one job and after the shoot was over, it has just sat unused for 6 months. They did approximately 500 to 600 scans with the thing so it is essentially brand new.

If anyone is interested, I'll put you in contact with the owner and you can go from there. I AM NOT involved with this in any way other than passing on information.

The LS9000 is a precision scanner with medium format scans rivaling drum scan quality, as well as scanning 35mm of course. I own the previous model, the LS8000 and can tell you first hand it is a great machine. If you shoot medium format and 35mm, the Nikon LS9000 is hard to beat.

Contact me if interested.

Tom
