Anyone shooting Le Tour de France?

Last year I took some photographs from the TV.....? This year we not only have fantastic TV coverage on SBS in Australia, as usual, but the iPhone and iPad app from them streams live coverage, so last night I was able to lie warm in bed watching the finish on the Alp d'Huez. A gripping race. My hat is off to Andy Schleck. I loved his duel there last year with Contador, coming up beside him to stare him down. Whoever wins it's been a fantastic race this year.

whoa, that was a hell of stage today. does Cadel make up 57 seconds in the TT? shades of the TT showdown in Paris between LeMond & Fignon. perhaps the final time gap will be even smaller than the eight seconds from way back then. of course, on saturday no one will be riding helmetless. wonder how cadel would have done without that breakdown today.

Cycling coverage in the UK is so appalingly bad. The BBC just hasn't registered it until the track teams started winning a few medals. But I have to say Radio Five has been reporting the tour daily this year for the first time. Now if they would just employ Phil Liggett we might get some decent commentary.

Phill Liggett; are you joking?? He's almost as far past it as Hugh Porter - and that's saying something.

As for yesterdays stage, it was brilliant. Great action. I think a Schluck will win overall sadly. Sadly because they are just so boring. Couldn't get the tour of Five live extra yesterday either.
