I got one of these as my first 35mm camera when I was 10, and just pulled it out of my camera bag again to see how it is working. Just curious as to whether anyone else is using it still? Amazing to me is that as a 10 year old, I just followed the guidelines on the film box and got great pictures with it
, and no light meter.
Since I have no idea as to when my M4-P is going to show up, I think I'm going to have it CLA'd so I can use it in the mean time.

I just got a roll of film developed from my Vitessa (it's the earliest version, I think--no L or N, no parallax). What a wonderful camera! Easy to focus, easy to set exposure, the plunger looks a little goofy but works really well, and it just feels good in the hand. Mine has a Skopar F3.5 lens that is super-sharp. The viewfinder isn't nearly as nice as any Leica M series viewfinder, but in all other respects the Vitessa as a great rangefinder. Enjoy it!

I just bought a Vitessa L, an N with a meter. All I can say is, what a wonderful camera! The build quality is amazing, a nice solid camera. I can't say anything about the lens yet (Ultron f2), but the first roll through is in the dryer right now, and a quick peek showed no immediate problems.
