Anyone Tried Reformulated Foma 200?

Another thread informed us that it is back on the market. Has anyone tried the new reformulated Foma 200 in 35mm? ..

I just heard back from Foma. There is no reformulated product available. They are still unsure if there even will be.

There you go... Once a rumor goes around the Internet it is taken as fact. It was out of stock and then back in. Rumor had it that it was being reformulated, so I assumed that the product being sold was reformulated. Thanks for the info. and the correction.

Now I am REALLY confused! In today's mail I received 10 rolls of Fomapan 200 from Freestyle. I was told that they had the new stuff. I have 10 rolls of something that looks to be new, and is in Fomapan 200 labeled boxes. Anyone have any idea what they are shipping? I will shoot a roll this weekend and see how it develops.

What was the issue with the formerly out-of-stock now back-in-stock un-reformulated formula?

Some ingredient in the manufacturing process that was labelled toxic by some new regulations and couldn't be replaced. Similar type of issue with Neopan 400 (120) I assume.

Foma 200 production stopped after a supplier of a raw component to Foma stopped making that product and Foma were unable to source an equivalent of adequate quality. The film has been removed from their website and management assure me that no reformulated product has been made. I suspect that what you have and is currently in stock at Freestyle is new stock from the last master rolls.

That information is the same as I also had received.
