Anyone tried this already?

For a lot less than $325 ($225 less to be exact), I bought a fully functioning Speed Graphic with film holders and 2 lenses on lens boards.

They need to update their web page: Using a Polaroid 545 back is a dead horse. There is no more Polaroid material for the back. The camera will only accept the Calumet roll film backs. You won't be able to use the old Graflex roll film backs.

For about $200 more you can buy a real 4x5 field camera like the Shen Hao. And if you hate it, you can get your money back in a hurry. You won't get much, if any, of your money back from this DIY camera.

venchka, now that is real thinking, not market following. You might be able to get a 'peel apart' thing to stick on the Graflex. Both B&W and Freestyle sell peel apart film. I just ordered tons from Freestyle. I use a Polaroid Color Pack II and an Automatic 100. As an exotic (as Kevin M says) it is more than fun. At a party, where you know zero people, (take it with you) and the conversion starts. Here is one from August:

Agreed. I have 3 Polaroid backs: the 545, 405 & 550. The 545 is toast as far as instant photos & negatives is concerned since Polaroid quit making the stuff. The 405 & 550 will accept the Fuji products for prints only. No negatives.

My main point was the misleading statements about using the Polaroid 545 back on the Lomo Wannabe Camera. Sure, the back will fit, but the "film" for it is all gone.
