Anyone use Thumbs Up On SLRs?

Just wondering if anyone uses a Match Technical Thumbs up on their older, squarer, manual focus SLR (I'm thinking OM single digit, Nikon FM/FE, Pentax MX, ME Super kinda thing).

If so did it improve handling? Which one were you using? Any problems with it falling off or anything? Did it make it look sexier?

It would stick out too much. Might work if one's thumb was an extra inch or two long but even in order to reach it, the grip on the camera would change and you wouldn't be able to hit the shutter. Plus it would poke the right eye of left-eyed shooters.

Forgot that RF's don't have the eye hole in the middle... Good call on that one
