I'm looking to consolidate my scanning hardware and it looks as though the Microtek i900 with its glassless scanning tray and E.D.I.T. methodology should be just the ticket for 120 and 35mm formats. It has a lot of good software with it and the price is dropping in advance of the introduction of the "M" scanner in May. Does anyone have experience with this scanner?

The i900 is a decent scanner but it doesn't do any better than the current top of the line Epson or Canon flatbed. I don't think at this point you should invest in last generation technology, and because of Microtek's lack of service after the warranty expires, I think you should consider either waiting on the M1 or looking at something else.

My $.02,

Doug
