Anyone using Ado CHM?

I just saw ADOX CHM 100/400. Has anyone used it or know anything about it?
It is cheap, at least here in Spain and the dev times are the same as HP5 and FP4, is it really rebranded Ilford stuff?

I run and love Adox films for many years - highly recommended films!

No rebranding, it's all their own production emulsion and film material as far as I know. They are very sharp yet classical emulsion films with unique and beautiful tonality. Remember Adox actually discovered sharp thin-layer film through a "happy accident" in their factory in 1950-60s, Kodak etc just copied their "idea". Hence Adox been around for a long time and still going strong.

AFAIK at one time it was re-branded HP5+, since then Ilford/Harman has stated, on the record, that they do not sell their film re-branded re-badged etc.
Strictly speaking that is their emulsion formulations. They have never stated AFAIK that they do not coat film for others using an emulsion which is not in their current brand line up. They are thus, whilst remaining true to that disclaimer, able to contract manufacture for other suppliers. They certainly do pack down for other "brands" on their lines but that is not necessarily film produced at their plant.
And before the snipes come in, yes I have visited the Mobberley plant and seen the lines.

It's not "Adox" but "Fotoimpex" CHM 100/400. According to Mirko Böddecker (CEO of Adox/Fotoimpex) it is a film very similar/identical to Kentmere 100/400 produced by Harman/Ilford for Fotoimpex. They decided to commission those 2 films because there was a price-increase of Kentmere 100/400 and they still wanted to offer this emulsions at cheap prices.

They started the strategy that every film under the Adox brand is now their own production and not rebranded material, so there's no Adox branding for the "new" CHM 100/400.

So yes, it's rebranded "Ilford" stuff = Kentmere 100/400 (or very very similar to it).

Ilford is not using their premium films under another brand. However Kentmere is not their premium film so it is sold under Agfa Photo APX-100/400 (new) too (Lupus) so why not doing the same for this Impex CHS 100/400 films.

Anyhow if you pay for your own specified emulsion you can let make your own film at Harman. See Rollei RPX-100/400 (25 ?). Or photo paper like Bergger or Tetenal is doing.
