Anyone using Katz Eye screens on DX Nikon bodies?

I'm thinking about getting a Katz Eye screen for my D80 to help with manual focusing. Does anyone have any experience with these screens on cropped-sensor Nikon bodies? Specifically the D70/80/90?

I have bought 4 Katz Eye screens for different D200s and one Fuji S5 Pro. A great improvement! Now, I´m ordering one for my D700.

I use one with my D70. Get the one with the optibright treatment if you want to use slow lenses. Highly recommended.

The lenses I'd be using it with are f/2 and f/2.8 so I'll probably pass on the Optibright treatment.

I used one with my D300 and an 85/1.4. I had the version with the bright treatment. I never used both options to compare, but if I were to buy one for my D700, I'd definitely go for the bright version.
I do shoot in a lot of low-light situations, so I'll take any slight advantage I can get.

I used one (with optibrite) on my D200 - it was very helpful when shooting macros, typically stopped down to about f16.

I got one with the brightness treatment for my D300 a few years ago. It's a great improvement for manual focusing.

I got so used to it, that when I look thru other nikon viewfinders I find them 'weird', like something is wrong.

I use a Katz-Eye with my D70, the first thing I bought after getting it. Because I do not use a split-image, but use the whole screen as matte screen, simliar to the old Type-B screen, I did not opt for the Optibright, as it lowers the contrast of the screen and makes focusing more difficult on the matte screen. If you are going to use a split image, then I would go for the Optibright.

I would not have a DSLR without one, despise the factory screens, completely useless for manual focusing.

I recently got a D2x with a Katzeye. It works, but I find that I rely on the green dot, using the split screen as confirmation only. And of course when I select a focus spot other than the center one, it is of no use.

I had a Katzeye screen in my now sold D200. I went for the non-opti-brite treatment and never regretted the decision to forgo the opti-brite version. I used my D200 mainly for macro photography and focus was always spot on and easy to get right. I've been meaning to install one in my D700, but haven't got a round tuit yet.

I had the Katz Eye before with my D200 as well but also used the green dot and minor adjustment using the Katz Eye. Only advantage I see is the screen is brighter than the stock.
