Just asking because I had the chance to play a short while with one and had the feeling that they are great cameras but they are absolutely not popular where I live, maybe nowhere except possibly Korea. Also I cannot find any serious review of these cameras, just a few of these articles where a guy shot a few pictures of still objects blow the images at 100% in the computer screen and depending on how many speckles he sees gives a mark between 0 and 5. What attracts me is that they seem to have a good sensor, a good choice of prime lenses and have that P/S look which, I believe, should be less scaring than other designs when used as street camera. Also it seems that some of the obvious problems of past series, such as the lack of available EVF, slow AF and noise have been resolved and, even if it could be a sign of desperation, I like the fact they have "open sourced" their firmware.

Ok, so I ask something and then answer to myself. Fact is that I didn't notice that Kirk Tuck in his blog is starting a long time test and consequent review of the NX300. Had I noticed this I would not have posted the question in the first place but since I already did I tough I could instead add this information as possibly somebody else might be interested in reading the review.

The lenses re super, especially the 30/2.

Pancake lenses: 16/2.4, 20/2.8, 30/2 and 20-50 zoom. The 60/2.8 macro is huge and slow focusing, but really good. all very well priced. I use them on the NX100 with finder and on the NX10.

I wish Sony would produce a lineup like this.

Thank you for the links and the answers, they are all in line with what I heard, still I am looking forward to read a "real" review from someone with a work in photography and who uses the camera for a while, not just to take a picture of a book shelf. If the price get a bit cheaper (not that now it is expensive) I might be very tempted to get it with the 30mm lens.
