Does anyone have experience with Aperture in London for servicing and repairs of Leica (rangefinder and/or reflex)?
On their website they promise quick turnaround, which is attractive, but it would be great to hear about the quality of what they offer.
Thanks,
Simon

Hi, the two I have used in London are Aperture and Sendean.
I had a Rolleiflex serviced at Aperture and it was a quick turnaround - inside a week. At Sendean I had a Yashica 44 serviced and that was around 3 months.
However! It took Sendean that look because they couldn’t source the parts and when I got the camera back I thought they had given me a brand new one, it was pristine and smooth. On the other hand, the Rolleiflex in comparison (which I had serviced after the Yashica) was a good job but in comparison didn’t bowl me over. They cleaned the optics and viewfinder, touched up the leatherette, it worked beautifully, but I think I had been spoilt.
I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with Aperture but personally, I’d go back to Sendean, based near Hatton Garden.

Thanks. That's useful to know. I hadn't heard of Sendean.

Aperture or Sendean will rinse you of your money. Unless you need something immediate, look somewhere else for value/time/etc...

I just had my Yashica 700 serviced at Newton & Ellis in Liverpool. In doing so, they also changed it to take the 1.5v battery and meter accurately. Lovely job and good value (under £100 before shipping)
Worth dropping them an email to see if they do work on Leica.
