I just wanted to let the NYC folks know that my photography was chosen to be in this show at the Aperture Gallery.

The opening is on July 17, 2014 from 6-8pm. Check it out if you can... it'll be there until August 14th.

I'll have 12 - 5x8" prints that will, according to Aperture, be shown in a grid (I have no control on how they will be shown). I initially submitted 10 regular style street photos and was chosen based on that. However, the executive director supposedly looked into my work more (blurb books) and chose 12 different street still-life photos instead. Those of you that have seen my books at our meet-ups will be familiar with the street still-life work.

I'll post more info as I get it.

Congrats! I've visited the gallery a few times on visits to NY, I love it. Wish I could make it out there. Post 'em or link them if they're somewhere if you're open to doing so, I know seeing them on a screen is different, but I'd still love to see them.

That's great, John--to have a substantial selection of your work, not just a dim sum bite of it. Keep us apprised.

Thanks guys. Steve, check it out if you have time. You've been someone who's consistently looked at my books (thanks)... so maybe it'll be different on the wall. Though the prints are only slightly bigger than in the books.

Congrats john, I've seen your work when we meet and it's great, and your
work will look different when it's up on that wall.

Bob

Here's an update with all of the people who will be showing work in the summer open.

Many of the people involved have websites that show their work. I don't. What I can say about my work is that it is the opposite of what most like here on RFF... it's color, mostly still life in the street (i.e. no people), and is digital. In any case, just wanted to provide an update. I hope to see a couple of familiar faces there.
