April 8 - Madison, WI RFF Gathering?

Well, my Boss & little one will be out of town that weekend, so I was wondering if, perhaps, there would be some interest in a gathering to swap BS, indulge in focusing fluid, fondle some gear and perhaps accidently take some photographs that Saturday.

How about the Great Dane at 1:00 PM? Anyone interested?

(I thought there was a Midwest forum, but I don't see one, hence this is in General. Mods, please move as appropriate.)

sounds great to me, William.. I have the Friday off, and was thinking of heading that direction anyway.. so the timing is perfect

anybody else able to make it? Madison is a great place for street photography, and William and I will be available for autographs

William, as the Madison RFF Chapter President, you should be doing a better job of recruiting hot Madison women.. maybe we need to start up a membership drive on Willy Street
 
There's a couple of nice young ladies who are employed at Star Photo. Perhaps you could start there? 🙂

actually we ought to head over there sometime.. I've got some Fuji NPS 120 film that I should be shooting in my Holgas.. that's probably the best place for me to have process it
 
Seriously, yes. They've done very nice work with my 120 Reala. The "Duck Creek" shot in book 2 was dev'd, printed & later scanned by them. Hmm. I should give you a roll or two of Reala to run through that Holga... :angel:

oh yeah.. I'd take you up on that offer.. I also have a Rolleiflex, but I still have the roll of test film in it, so I ought to finish that off to see if it's working and collimated properly
 
No prob. I'm MF challenged at the moment (an iffy Balda & a Yashica 635 with an even stranger shutter... Sticking on the high speeds rather than the more usual low speeds) so I have way too much to get used up. Get that Rollie emptied and I'll give you some of the good stuff to feed it... 😀

Why, yes, that's my favorite color neg film. However did you guess??? 🙂

Heh. For clarity then, the bar in the pool hall @ 1:00 PM on Saturday April 8?

Any other Madisonian's out there? Or other nearby midwesterners? Everyones welcome!

How far is Madison from Minneapolis? My car's fixed now. There's the matter of gasoline.

I don't have a job anymore, so my schedule's pretty much open (unless there's a new interview...had lots of those last and previous week)
 
Get on I-94 East in the Twin Cities and 5 hours later you're in Madison. Bit of a haul, but you'll be very welcome to come here.

wow.. this is turning into a real group! I think I'll bring a couple extra RF cameras and recruit the local girls.. I remember taking my Kiev into The Camera Co. during last year's big art fair on the square and the college girl working the counter was fascinated by it

Hmm... should I bring the whole arsenal, or just the bigguns?
