I’m working on Sunday, so I’ll have to skip this meetup.
John, the pictures are great as usual, publish them. Btw, congrats for getting married! You inspired me to do the same!

John and Christian,
Still living in sin. LOL. Been with "Maggie" for twenty years.
It is really great to share your life with someone. Also gives a bigger meaning to life.
All the best.

John,
I know in New York they have Common Law, but I still am in denial.
Pretty much I can say I left and came back many times over twenty years.
So what I bought her a big emerald cut diamond...

After months in the wilderness, I might actually be able to make it to the meetup!
Since many of you are film camera aficionados, would anyone be interested in a Kodak Medalist II? I was tempted to try one, but found that I just don't gel with it.

Thanks John, Jean-Marc and Cal,
It was a spur of the moment fun thing to do. It just felt right.
I’ll be back at the meetup next month.

Nice! ...
I'll be back in early July. Probably can't make a meet-up, but it would be good to see everyone for a lunch or dinner.

Someone has to photograph this beast at the next meet-up!
John,
I'm doing a profile on the CL that I will be submitting to my editor (George) to publish on the "Camera Chronical."
The edits are done from the February "Camera Carnaval". I took some shots of Joe with this evil smug look on his face holding a Linhof presentation case.
The article begins with a brief history of what happened over the previous 7 years as a lead into this years eighth annual event. I did the photography as well as the writing.
I did take some amazing head and shoulder shots of Bob the the massive 50 Lux-SL lens on the CL shot wide open at yesterday's Meet-Up. Also I took some shots of Joe looking like a tough guy biker thug.
Kinda funny how no one ever mentions how amazing the rendering is. I know the 50 Lux-SL is huge and heavy, but the free gym membership is worth it for the I.Q. and rendering.
Crazy and funny looking as it is the 50 Lux-SL becomes an amazing portrait rig and creates effectively a deadly 75 Lux-CL for "No-Money." This truely is a "Cal Rig." LOL.
Today I have the CL in "John mode" rigged with my 28 Cron which is a 42mm FOV. Kinda like the original 40mm Minalta lens that came with the first version CL.
I really like this "John Rig." BTW I kinda promote you in this feature, and in a way I present some of your style. Let me know if I should send you the MSS before I send it to my editor. Pretty much these articles are like my other long obsessive rants, full of color, often off topic, but funny as I reveal a character that has a confused identity.
Kinda funny how I get away with blogging on platforms and I don't do social media or have a web site. How did that happen? LOL.

Next weekend will be crazy. "Maggie" is a judge on a panel for a fashion show and competition on Saturday that is modeled like "Project Runway." Saturday's event is between the finalists who recieved a budget and had to create a certain amount of looks to present in a runway show to select the winner for this event. Just like Project Runway the winner will get a show during NYC Fashion Week as the grand prize.
The contestants are from all over the world, and this program is much like Project Runway except it is a live event.
Not sure if I will "get in the tent." or if I get a fashion vacation, but now since I have the tiny CL and the mighty huge SL if I participate I will carry two cameras. The CL I would likely rig with the Noct-Nikkor for an 87mm F1.2. The SL will have the 50 SL for autofocus.
Sunday is the 10th Annual "Shorty" Awards ceremony. Maggie is one of 6 finalists in the fashion digital influencer cat. One of her competitors is Victoria Beekham. Kinda weird for me because I assume this is a bit of a red carpet event full of celebs, and I'm kinda a street slob and slouchy dresser. I assume Maggie will clean me up. I feel like the girl in "My Fair Lady."
Kinda funny when I get dressed up and look in the mirror: I don't recognize myself.
"I was just minding my own business..."

Jaymz,
You reminded me of a time when this guy on a subway inquired about the camera I was carrying. One thing led to another, and because I'm a good salesman somehow I smoothly pitched my work.
So then I kinda flubbed because this guy ended up being a big time art dealer who had a gallery in midtown. He asked about my website: none. and then he asked me for a card: none.
So yesterday when you asked me about my card and I had none was a painful reminder. LOL.
BTW I printed up many thousands, that are actually 2x3 inch prints. I also have a stamp that has "Coppyright" along with my contact info, and it is evident that my card is one of my prints.
