Start your own thread with your own excavated archaeological finds. These are part of my long-lost, but-now-rediscovered 1980's negatives. Let's see what you can dig up from your own or your families' archives.

This is the third roll I've scanned since finding these negatives last night.

A so-called "pocket park." Developers get to add height to new buildings under the very convoluted Byzantine zoning laws in NYC if they build miniature public spaces. A park so small it could fit in your pocket. They are generally no wider than a brownstone building (brownstones were typically something like 17.5 feet wide). If I'm not mistaken, this pocket park or perhaps another one nearby now has a few segments of the Berlin wall on display.

John, if you don't like to start 'em, you are always welcome to post on mine. Nice shot. I like the juxtaposition between the old and the older (since the new one is now at least 40 years old).

Thanks Rob. You do make me want to look at my 80's negs in a new light. I can scan them now too ( though I might not choose to
)
