Haven't taken this test yet, but...

- I probably have a moderate streak of ADD/ADHD, but no one had a fancy name like that to tack onto me 45 years ago. (I was a bit of a headcase as a kid.)

- Remembering something Al Franken said some years ago, if you have a significant other (or at least don't have too much trouble getting dates), you're not a geek: you're a wonk.

- I've taken so many psychological tests in my youth (see above) that I now hold the efficacy of the process somewhat (though not entirely) in suspicion. Meaning I'll still take the tests earnestly, and read them soberly, but can't take the results entirely seriously.

I scored 34... although I doubt I really have Aspergers Syndrome though. I am pretty awkward from a social perspective, although I can mange quite well with considerable effort, I'd just rather read a book.... I am definitely a geek though... I can recall about 50 telephone numbers , and recite every car registration plate for my father, mother and neighbours cars over the last 30 years...hmmm, maybe I should take that test again...

I scored 19 and have been told by a qualified friend that I display some definite aspergers symptoms so that pleases me ... the internet is far more trust worthy right? 😛

I tend to think of our little community as being more of the 'zealot' type!

What kind of a syndrome causes a guy in his sixties to start carrying a toy monkey around with him? She's a staple in my blog, I write about her as if she's a real person, she gets invited to all the right parties, atttends city council and advisory board meetings with me (for REAL!), endorses candidates, and of course they all want to be photographed with her so they get some mention in the blog, which these days is the closest thing North Miami has to a neighborhood weekly paper.

Is it just early senility or perhaps maybe a final admission to myself that I have Aspergers and it's time to stop "acting" like I'm normal?

I'M A SCIENTIST

ok, ok, I'll sit back to my network duties

cheers

I got an 8. Confirms my flakiness, I guess. Fun test, though.

My 13-year-old daughter has a classmate with Asperger Syndrome. He's a brilliant kid but has trouble relating to others. Ask him a question about movies, or one of his other interests, however. He will dazzle you. In other words, it's kind of a gift, too. I expect he'll go into some scientific field as an adult, and I expect great things from him.

i am 38 - but i know i am not well adjusted - i even expected higher score. i really cant blend into crowd or go to parties. when there are more of two people i am totally lost in communication...
