I love my Nikon FA, also use an N70 and a D1x. The FA has such a smooth feel and is feature packed. The N70 is also feature packed but designed by and for computer geeks. I don't really mind the interface because I get it, but I really appreciate the D1x layout in comparison. I just wish the N70 had mirror lock up, maybe it doesn't need it. I like my SLR's but I have been gravitating towards rangefinders much more often over the last year. I finally appreciate the wonders of leaf shutters and quiet stealthy cameras.

Started with a Canon Ftb in the early 70s then moved on to an Ae 1 prog in the mid 80s, bit of a backward step in hindsight. Olympus OM10 for a few years until the it died, replaced with a OM40 (PC in the USA) ok camera beautiful lenses, love the 24mm 2.8 and the 100mm 2.8. Still have it and use it
Would like another Ftb on an F1 of old times sake or a Leica if i win the lottery.

Nikon !!! It was the camera I could not afford when I was young ! Now I can.
I have an F-100 abd (most used) an FM2. My wife uses an F-65. !
ButI still have my first SRL (minolta SRT 101- in that time more or less one month of my salary!) and the more modern X-700.
All still working!

I forgot about my Mamiya SLRs! Does a pair of M645 1000s count?

Bought my first Nikkormat (FT) in 1973, moved onto F & F2`s in the 1980`s. Also about this time tried a Konica T3, nice camera, but not compatiable with my Nikons so I sold it. In the 1990`s bought a F90x & 500cm `blad for wedding work. But recently I have fallen in LUST with Yashica Electro`s, an Electro,2 GSN`s & an early YL. Oh where will it all end?

Eheh, don't know if I can be counted between all this peolple with long experience, since I bought and used my first SLR one year ago ;-)
Minolta x-700 and SRT 303 bought on ebay.
Why Minolta? Just happened that my girl uses a x-300, I just tought we could share lenses.... and now after a GAS syndrome ;-) I own a bag full of Rokkors....

Started out with a Canon AE-1, then got an EOS 500, then a EOS 5, then added a EOS 50E a backup, found this site, went mad and sold my 35mm SLR stuff and got hooked which has now lead me to two M2s and two draws full of Canonets.
I was proudly 35mm SLR free until two weeks ago when I rescued a FE, so I'm now a Nikon user.
However far as I am concerned there is only ONE SLR...
Hasselblad
Nuff said.

First an Exakta Kine II (sitting on the tripod over to the left, taken with a FED). Then various Minoltas ending with the XE5. Moved on to EOS for the autofocus, now 20D.
And back to square 1 with various Exaktas again, trying to find which one works best.

First I used Canons, later on Nikons.
Even tried Olympus and Minolta.
Finally I learned Pentax fits best...
